Paul Bateman
Paul joined the Team in 2007, joining as a Technical Engineer, prior to taking on his current role as Business Development Manager. Paul's current role in Business development allows him to maintain and develop some local key accounts in the South East whilst also developing new business in the UK along with a handful of Overseas accounts as the lead for both lighting structures and architectural lighting.
Paul has over 20 years experience in the highway / lighting industry, having worked as a Street Lighting Engineer at Kent County Council in his early career.
Paul is a natural problem solver and enjoys finding the best solutions and outcomes for his clients. Having been a client / customer himself, this experience affords Paul a good understanding of what is required and what is practical.
Paul has an ILP Diploma in Exterior Lighting, is a member of the Institution of Lighting Professionals and is registered with the Engineering council at EngTech level. He is a Liveryman within the City of London Worshipful Company of Lightmongers. Paul has supported the ILP in the London and South East region committee for many years as Secretary and for a year as Chairman.
In his spare time he is mostly to be found enjoying the great outdoors on a mountain bike or walking.
